NATIONAL SCHOOLS FILM WEEK
As Head of Marketing at Film Education, I
developed, delivered and promoted this
national film festival for young people.
Now in its 17th year, NSFW takes more
than ½ million school children to the
cinema free of charge every October. For
many, it is the first time they have ever
seen a film on the big screen.
YOUNG FILM CRITIC OF THE YEAR
Working with Barry Norman and his team I
helped develop and launch this annual
competition securing partners such as the
Guardian, Smart Boards, Penguin Books,
RNIB, RNID and NDCS. Now in its 17th
year, the competition remains highly
accessible and continues to inspire
thousands of children of all ages and
abilities to get writing!
NATIONAL PEER MENTORING PILOT
This government-funded pilot was led by
the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation
to develop Peer Mentoring programmes
across the UK. My role was to promote the
projects across a range of media including
the education, children’s and Third Sector
press as well as sharing examples of good
practice and promoting the value, benefits
and impact of peer mentoring to other
schools.
